Born in Song: Texts and Tunes for Worship by Brian Hoare

Brian Hoare originally trained as a music teacher but after only three years teaching moved into full time Christian work, first with the Inter-Varsity Fellowship and then as a Methodist Minister. In addition to local church appointments he has served as Chaplain to Hunmanby Hall School, New Testament tutor at Cliff College, Secretary for Evangelism in the Methodist Church, President of the Methodist Conference (1995-96) and a member of the World Methodist Council. In each of these different capacities he has continued to use music as a tool for his ministry and his hymns and songs have appeared in over thirty different hymnbooks in Britain, America, Canada and Australia. He also published a popular full-length Christian musical entitled New Creation (Methodist Publishing House 1995).
